My favorite band, The Lumineers, say it best, "it's better to feel pain, than nothing at all." Since I began ultra-racing in late 2009, I have certainly felt my share of ups and downs along the trail and I wouldn't want to change anything, about my past performances. I signed up for TNF 50M SF, months in advance, during a peak period of my training. In late September, I realized I needed a break from hardcore training and decided to take on TNF 50M SF, as an experiment, so to speak.
